According to the Focus magazine, the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf ranks among the top German departments specializing in the treatment of multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease!
The department offers the full range of diagnostics and treatment of diseases of the nervous and muscular systems. The specialization covers the treatment of stroke, cerebrovascular diseases, movement disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, muscular diseases, inflammatory diseases of the nervous system, such as multiple sclerosis. In addition, the competence includes intensive neurological care. The Chief Physician is Prof. Dr. med. Christian Gerloff.
The department treats more than 3,800 inpatients and about 7,000 outpatients every year. Since its foundation in 1889, the hospital has taken a leading position in the European medical arena, which it still holds today. Patients rooms
The patients of the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf live in comfortable single and double rooms designed in bright colors. Each room is equipped with an ensuite bathroom with a toilet and a shower. The standard room includes an automatically adjustable bed, a bedside table, a wardrobe, a table and chairs for receiving visitors, a telephone, a radio and a TV. Also, there is Wi-Fi access.
Meals and Menus
The patient and his accompanying person have a daily choice of three menus. If for any reason you do not eat all the food, you will be offered an individual menu. Please inform the medical staff about your dietary preferences prior to the treatment.
