The Department of Mammology, Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University Hospital Oldenburg offers the full service range in these medical fields. The department has 3 operating rooms, where highly qualified doctors perform more than 3,000 operations annually. The department is equipped with 74 beds and 6 beds for outpatient surgeries. Since 1 April 2006, Prof. Eduard Malik has been the Head of the Department of Mammology, Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University Hospital Oldenburg. Prior to this, the doctor worked in the Department of Gynecology at the University Hospital Regensburg. His clinical focuses include the treatment of malignant diseases of the female reproductive organs, minimally invasive surgery. The doctor’s scientific activities are focused on endometriosis research.
