About the department
Having modern technologies and specially trained personnel, the Department of Radiation Therapy and Radiation Oncology at the Vivantes Auguste-Victoria Hospital is engaged in the treatment of malignant tumors in outpatient and inpatient settings. Treatment programs are established within the framework of regular interdisciplinary oncological consultations and are further coordinated with attending physicians individually. In the treatment of many tumors, radiation therapy is used in combination with other methods of treatment. The chief physician of the department is Dr. Christoph Huyer.
The department employs private practitioners who, in addition to sophisticated treatment methods and high accuracy of irradiation, offer patients individual support during and after therapy. Patients and members of their families will always find a welcoming atmosphere here, not burdened by the need for long waiting to be admitted to the hospital.
