Evangelical Hospital Queen Elizabeth Herzberge Berlin
The Evangelical Hospital Queen Elizabeth Herzberge Berlin is one of the most respected and modern medical facilities in Germany with a long tradition. The construction of the hospital began in 1889, then in 1992 the hospital underwent a large-scale reconstruction. In 2001, the medical facility acquired the title of an academic hospital of the Charite University Hospital Berlin. The medical center unites 15 specialized departments, where a highly qualified medical team of more than 1,400 employees works for the benefit of their patients. The clinical activity of the medical facility is based on the application of modern medical advances, but Christian ethics plays a huge role as well. The priority goal of the hospital's staff is not only the restoration of the physical health of the patients, but also their moral support at all the stages of treatment.
The range of medical services of the modern hospital includes such main areas as epileptology, general and vascular surgery, geriatrics, nephrology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, traumatology and orthopedics, psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics, including for children, etc. As the academic hospital, the healthcare facility is also actively engaged in the training of medical students and in successful research activities. Thanks to this, the hospital has the very latest therapeutic options allowing for the treatment of even extremely complex pathologies.
The medical facility annually admits about 25,000 inpatients, and about 28,000 more outpatients. The hospital has 780 beds.
The hospital is proud of having prestigious quality certificates, such as DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, a certification of the German Society of Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine and the German Society for Angiology, a certification of the German Diabetes Association, and the German Society of Nephrology. Since 2016, the hospital has been a member of the Qualitätsnetzwerk Geriatrie.
In addition, the hospital is located on the territory of the beautiful landscape park Herzberg, where walks contribute to the peace of mind of patients and positively affect the treatment outcomes.

Location
Berlin is the capital of Germany and a huge multi-million megapolis. Berlin is multifaceted and differs from other capitals both in its history and in its architecture. This is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Berlin is also famous for its vibrant life, as it houses a huge number of museums and theaters, beautiful architectural monuments, parks and palaces.
The Brandenburg Gate is considered to be the symbol and the main attraction of Berlin. It is located in the central part of the city, on Paris Square. The gate was built in 1791 by the will of King Friedrich Wilhelm II. Another no less significant sight of the city is the Charlottenburg Palace, which was built at the end of the 17th century by King Frederick I. Charlottenburg was repeatedly reconstructed, each subsequent ruler brought something new to its appearance, thus trying to leave a memory of himself. The western part of Berlin is famous for another attraction – a special Spandau district, where the downtown and the ancient citadel on the Spree River are perfectly preserved. There are also many beautiful churches in Berlin, for example, St. Mary's Church and Berlin Cathedral.
Of great interest to travelers is the famous Museum Island, since here one can visit as many as five museums, such as the Old National Gallery, the Bode Museum, the Pergamon Museum, the Old and New Museums. While visiting each of them, the traveler is completely immersed in the atmosphere of the past. Six thousand years of human history pass before one's eyes. The huge exhibition halls have collected items of Byzantine art, a collection of paintings by famous artists, numismatic collections and sculptures.
In addition, Berlin is one of the greenest metropolises in Europe. One can have a rest and relax in the parks and squares of the city. It is a great pleasure to take a boat ride on the Havel or Spree and walk through the large zoo in the city center. Berlin offers excellent shopping opportunities, many pubs, cafes and restaurants where one can taste both national dishes and dishes from other world cuisines.
