Location

Baden-Baden is a world-famous spa town with mineral springs and stunning natural landscapes. It is located on the banks of the Oos River on the western slopes of the Black Forest. A renowned spa town since the 18th century, Baden-Baden continues to enchant visitors with its aristocratic elegance. The town captivates with the splendor of its ancient architecture, luxurious villas, and picturesque parks immersed in greenery and flowers. In addition to its outward charm, Baden-Baden offers visitors first-class opportunities for health improvement and exquisite recreation, maintaining its status as one of Europe's most prestigious spas.

The town has a centuries-old history and offers travelers an impressive palette of attractions. The pearl of the town is rightfully considered to be its famous casino, which is a unique complex that combines gambling, gastronomy, and cultural leisure under one roof. This is a multifunctional entertainment center that includes gaming halls, an exquisite restaurant, a cozy bistro, a fashionable nightclub, and a concert hall. Founded more than two and a half centuries ago, the famous Baden-Baden Casino is rightly considered one of the oldest in Europe. Not only does the entertainment establishment attract gamblers from all over the world, but it is also one of the town's most striking architectural attractions. The casino building was erected in the best traditions of French royal residences: the interior decorations of gold, marble, crystal, and velvet.

When visiting Baden-Baden, the two main thermal baths of the town are a must. These are the Caracalla Spa and the Friedrichsbad Spa. The Caracalla Spa is a two-story complex with a large outdoor bathing area located in a natural park with a total area of 3,000 m3. The complex has many pools, jacuzzis, waterfalls, and saunas. All pools have different water temperatures and mineral concentrations. The Friedrichsbad Spa was built in 1867-1877 on the site of Roman baths and named after Duke Friedrich. These are Roman-Irish baths, combining Roman and Irish bathing traditions according to the method of the Irish doctor Barter. There are unique pools lined with Carrara marble and a circular hall, built on the model of a Roman thermal bath, with unique sculptures and frescoes.

The Lichtentaler Allee, located along the Oos River, is also a favorite place for visitors to Baden-Baden. Walking along the alley you can admire hundreds of different trees and flowers, beautiful fountains, sculptures, gazebos, and bridges. Not far away is the Pump Room, built in the middle of the 19th century. The historical monument is a colonnade of 16 columns, about 90 meters long, painted with frescoes. In the Pump Room there is a gallery with mineral water from two precious springs of Baden-Baden, which is credited with unique healing properties.

Baden-Baden is a wonderful town that will win the heart of even the most demanding tourist. There are wonderful spas with unique thermal springs, inimitable architectural monuments, exquisite restaurants, fashionable hotels, and beautiful parks. Baden-Baden is also famous for its rich social and cultural life. Exhibitions, theatrical performances, music concerts, and festivals are often held here.
