Location

Siegburg is the capital of the Rhine-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The city is located near Cologne and Bonn. Although Siegburg does not boast as many attractions as these larger cities, many people enjoy visiting it to admire the ancient half-timbered buildings and the atmosphere of the place.

The very heart of the city of Siegburg is the Market Square, with the town hall and a museum dedicated to the history of the city. The Market Square houses interesting buildings dating back to the 19th century. Many of them are restored replicas, as the city was heavily damaged by bombing during World War II. The square also has cozy cafes and coffee shops where you can enjoy a snack or a cup of aromatic coffee. Beer lovers should definitely visit the brewery on Holzgasse, which serves excellent beer and delicious traditional German cuisine.

Siegburg is home to the wonderful Oktopus Aquatic Center spa and a 500-seat cinema showing the latest in world cinema.
