The Department of Neurology at the University Hospital of Munich cooperates closely with Friedrich-Baur Institute for Nerve and Muscle Diseases. The director of the department is Prof. Dr. med. Marianne Dieterich.

The outpatient and inpatient care of patients encompasses the full spectrum of neurological diseases. The Department of Neurology at the University Hospital of Munich focuses on stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, vertigo, neuroinfections, pain and head pain, neurodegenerative diseases and muscle-nerve-diseases. For these treatment options the department has such inpatient special units as the Interdisciplinary stroke center, neurological intensive care station, epilepsy monitoring unit and units for deep brain stimulation as well as vertigo and balance disorders.

The Department of Neurology at the University Hospital of Munich, under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Marianne Dieterich, offers the following range of services:
