The Department of Orthopedic Rehabilitation at the MEDIAN Rehabilitation Clinic Bernkastel-Kues specializes in comprehensive rehabilitation of patients after diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, including pathological lesions of bone and muscle tissues, joints. Prior to elaboration of an individual rehabilitation program, the department's doctors study the patient's medical history, carry out laboratory diagnostics, as well as X-ray and ultrasound examinations for the comprehensive assessment of the patient's musculoskeletal system. Since September 2020, Dr. med. Slavi Evdokimov has been the Head of the Department of Orthopedic Rehabilitation at the MEDIAN Rehabilitation Clinic Bernkastel-Kues. The specialist received his medical education at the Sofia University in Bulgaria, after which he worked as a traumatologist in the emergency service. This was followed by professional clinical training in orthopedics and orthopedic rehabilitation in several clinics in Germany. Of particular clinical interest to Dr. Slavi Evdokimov is the McKenzie Method, which is also known as mechanical diagnosis and therapy. The McKenzie Method is recognized all over the world as one of the best for the treatment of pain in the back, neck and joints. Dr. Slavi Evdokimov is one of the few experts who have a perfect command of the McKenzie Method in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The patients of the MEDIAN Rehabilitation Clinic Bernkastel-Kues live in comfortable single rooms made in a modern and cozy design. Each patient room has an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. Many patient rooms are specially equipped in order to meet the needs of people with disabilities. The standard room furnishings include an automatically adjustable bed with a nurse call system, a bedside table, a wardrobe, a table and chairs for receiving visitors, a telephone and a TV.
