The Clinic of Advanced Biological Medicine in Frankfurt am Main aims to boost the immune system, to maintain and improve the quality of life in case of disease, minimize side effects of toxic treatment, to increase chances for recovery as well as to increase life span through the use of effective treatments.
The Department of Urology at the University Hospital Dusseldorf deals with the treatment of all urologic diseases, including pediatric urology with the use of the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods. They include “keyhole” surgery in case of urologic tumor surgery and modernization of diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones. An important focus of the Department is the Prostate Cancer Center.
The Department of Urology and Oncourology annually examines over 710 patients with suspected bladder cancer. Modern visualization and endoscopic equipment allows doctors to identify the tumor, and histological examination helps to determine its type. The Head Physician of the department, Prof. Dr. med. Patrick Bastian, is a member of the Working Group on Urologic Oncology, as well as the European and American Urological Associations.
