Location
The picturesque spa town Bad Wildungen is located in the center of Germany, in the state of Hesse. The town is located on the banks of the River Wilde and is surrounded by green forests. The main value of the spa town is its healing springs, which serve two dozen resorts and clinics. The water in mineral springs is characterized by a high content of magnesium, calcium, iron and carbon dioxide. It is also impossible not to mention the crystal clear air of the town, which contributes to overall recovery.
Bad Wildungen has one of the largest SPA centers in Europe. The conventional treatment with mineral waters is combined with modern wellness, cultural and sports programs. The center hosts music festivals, concerts of classical music, as well as a cabaret with a classic show.
Nevertheless, the mineral springs are not the only treasure of the town. It also has a lot of amazing sights. The architectural heritage of the town is represented by Friedrichstein Baroque Palace (1714), which rises above Bad Wildungen. The center of the town houses the 14th century Hallenkirche church in the late Gothic style. Many villas and mansions of the 19th century have been preserved. Also, the town offers several museums with interesting exhibits.
