Vulvar condylomas are benign tumors of the external genital organs in women. The disease is associated with the human papillomavirus, which is sexually transmitted. You can go to Germany to treat the disease safely, minimally traumatically, and with a good aesthetic result.

Treatment principles for vulvar condylomas

There are no conservative therapies that would allow you to get rid of condylomas. The treatment of vulvar condyloma in Germany can therefore only be invasive. These are physically removed from the external genital organs using various methods.

The classic treatment option is surgery. Condylomas can simply be excised with a scalpel. However, scalpel surgery for anogenital condylomas is a thing of the past in modern German hospitals. Doctors use various types of energy to destroy or remove condylomas using bloodless and safe methods.

If untreated, condylomas often enlarge and can become gigantic, especially in immunocompromised patients. In addition, sometimes they may transform into malignant tumors. The removed biomaterial is therefore sent for a histological examination to make sure that there are no cancer cells.

Treatment methods for vulvar condylomas in Germany

Doctors in Germany almost never use outdated treatment methods for vulvar condylomas, such as:

  • scalpel surgery, which is traumatic, accompanied by blood loss, and has a high risk of infectious complications;
  • electrocoagulation, which carbonizes tissues, is associated with the appearance of large unaesthetic scars, and the skin heals for a long time;
  • cryodestruction, which causes severe inflammation and pain in the area of removed condylomas, does not allow the removal of large formations, and does not leave material for a histological examination;
  • chemical coagulation, which causes tissue burns and has to be performed several times, may leave rough scars, and patients feel pain after treatment.

Instead of these methods, the treatment of vulvar condyloma in Germany is carried out using a laser, radiosurgical techniques, and argon plasma coagulation. Treatment can be supplemented with ultrasonic cavitation, which is a wound treatment to remove bacterial films and stimulate tissue regeneration.

Laser removal may be indicated for multiple but small condylomas. The procedure is bloodless and painless due to anesthesia. There is no pain after that, either. The laser destroys bacteria in the wound, so the risk of infectious complications is almost zero.

Radiowave surgery is used for large condylomas. Tissues are dissected using high-frequency electromagnetic waves. The incision is thin and accurate. No large scars are left. The removed neoplasm can be sent for a histological examination. The blood vessels in the process of tissue dissection are repeatedly coagulated, so the doctor works in a dry surgical field, can see condylomas well, and can remove them completely. The incision area can be sutured to achieve a good aesthetic result, if necessary.
