Istanbul is a beautiful city with a unique flavor, a huge number of historical sights, majestic mosques and palaces of sultans, which keep the secrets of bygone times. The uniqueness of the city lies in its geographical location, since the city is divided by the Bosphorus and is located in two parts of the world – Europe and Asia. Every year, millions of tourists come here to immerse into the unique atmosphere of a modern metropolis and eastern fairy tale.

In ancient times, the city was the capital of three empires – Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman. As of today, Istanbul properly combines Christianity and Islam. It is not without reason that the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia are considered the city's symbols. Both shrines are located close to each other and are unique architectural monuments that have been perfectly preserved to this day. Currently, Hagia Sophia is a mosque with Christian frescoes and biblical motifs depicted on its walls, which is a unique combination of two religious doctrines in the world. The nearby Blue Mosque is also striking in its beauty and size. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that instead of the traditional four minarets it has six, which is very unusual for mosques. The temple got its name due to the interior decoration, which consists of blue tiles. On sunny days, light penetrates through the huge windows of the mosque, reflects off the walls and fills the temple with a gentle bluish glow.

Istanbul has a truly incredible number of original places that are definitely worth a visit. These include Topkapi Palace, Galata Tower, Basilica Cistern, Dolmabahce Palace, as well as Egyptian and Grand Bazaars. Shopping lovers will certainly appreciate the size of the markets, the number of goods and will be able to purchase many things at affordable prices. Istanbul is also home to many modern shopping centers. Cevahir is rightfully considered the largest mall in the city. It houses over 340 brand boutiques and shops, as well as 24 restaurants, including various fast food cafes. The shopping center is located in the Sisli district, in the business quarter of the European part of the city, near the metro station.

Istanbul is a wonderful modern city with ancient architecture and traditions. It perfectly combines modern business centers, luxurious nightclubs and restaurants, as well as monuments of ancient architecture and eastern flavor. Having visited this city at least once, everyone will definitely want to come back again.
