The Department of Orthopedics, the Arthroplasty Center offers patients top-class surgical treatment. A wide range of medical services provided in the department enables patients to undergo treatment on both an outpatient and inpatient basis.

The Department of Internal Medicine offers treatment not only for patients of the Altenkirchen region, but also for those from other countries. The department employs highly qualified medical specialists, which allows to achieve the best results in patient care. To date, the Department of Urology offers the full range of medical services. All this thanks to the chief physician of the department, Prof., Dr. med. Horst Schuldes, who expanded the range of services and medical capabilities of the department. Using modern techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of urologic diseases, Prof., Dr. med. Horst Schuldes has a colossal experience. The doctor has additional specializations in the following areas: drug treatment of tumor formations, andrology and urological surgery.

The Department of General and Abdominal Surgery performs all types of surgery to treat abdominal organs, thyroid disorders and proctology.  The procedures are mostly minimally invasive, i.e. performed through the holes in the abdominal wall ranging in size from 5 to 12 mm. Also, the surgeon monitors the surgical site using a high-resolution camera.

The Department of Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery, Hand Surgery, Trauma Center offers a wide range of medical services and is headed by Dr. med. Frank Hostmann.
