The St. Remigius Hospital Opladen is a provider of specialized medical services of the Kplus Hospital Group in Leverkusen. The main treatment focuses for which many people annually come to Leverkusen include, for example, spine surgery, joint replacement, lung diagnosis or treatment of bowel cancer.  

The Hospital annually provides medical care to over 13,000 inpatients. About 20,000 people receive treatment on an outpatient basis. The medical team of over 300 employees takes care of the welfare of people who have entrusted them their health. In addition to cutting-edge and competent treatment, all patients benefit from an individual approach and pleasant ambiance. 

A special quality of medical care, nursing and treatment at the St. Remigius Hospital Opladen is regularly confirmed by awards and certificates of professional medical societies. The quality management system was introduced in 2004. Its realization was later tested and confirmed by the certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008.

Since October 2012, the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology was among the first clinics in Germany to be certified as the Endoprosthetics Center of Maximum Care. In addition, the medical care for patients with severe injuries meets all the requirements to the criteria of the German Trauma Society. The hospital is also the certified regional Trauma Center.

About the city

Leverkusen is a large city having a status of the district. It is located in the center of the southern part of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Founded in 1930, the city was named after pharmacist and entrepreneur Carl Leverkus. Leverkusen offers its guests numerous amazing monuments, including the baroque Morsbroich Castle, the Water Tower, the Roman Villa etc. One of the city symbols is the Bayer Cross. It can be seen from far away and is a logo of the famous chemical-pharmaceutical concern.
