The Waldbröl District Hospital has the state-of-the-art medical equipment and is the certified Cancer Center. There are used surgical, interventional (e.g., balloon catheterization) and conservative treatments. The Department of Cardiology and Rehabilitation uses these treatment options as well. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory has a left heart catheterization system, which is a unique one in the Oberbergischer Kreis. Moreover, there is one of the newest in the world CT system, which allows to obtain snapshots with the minimal radiation exposure.
