The Hospital Sachsenhausen - Academic Hospital of the University of Frankfurt am Main was founded in 1985 by the world-famous professor Dr. Carl von Noorden and Dr. Edouard Lampe. At that time it was Germany's first medical institution specializing in the treatment of diabetes. To date, the hospital is one of the best in Germany for the treatment of diabetes.

The hospital offers services in the field of bariatric surgery. Every year more than 500 bariatric surgeries are performed here (surgery for obesity). The hospital is one of the leading clinics in Europe in this direction. Also, this hospital is ahead of other clinics in Germany in the field of minimally invasive gynecological surgery. Annually more than 10,000 patients are treated here on an inpatient basis, more than 5,500 operations are performed, of which 90% are minimally invasive surgeries with using the latest technologies.
Every year more than 1400 babies are delivered in the medical facility. 

In addition, the hospital has a department to provide emergency care for patients who have had a heart attack.

Patients rooms

The spacious and cozy rooms of the patients in the Academic Hospital Sachsenhausen at the Goethe University Frankfurt are equipped with everything necessary for a hospital stay. They include a bed, bedside table, wardrobe, chair, shower and toilet. On request, patients can use the phone (deposit 10 Euro).

The patients have a choice between single or double rooms. 

In free time from medical procedures, patients can walk around the park, located on the territory of the hospital, use the services of an ATM, library, post office, cafe and gym.

Meals and Menus
