The Department of Cardiology and Internal Intensive Care Medicine provides the whole spectrum of diagnostics and treatment for diseases of the heart and adjacent vessels. Cardiological priorities include myocardial infarction, treatment of heart valve defects, for example, MitraClip for mitral valve insufficiency, TAVI for aortic valve stenosis, treatment of heart rhythm disorders in the modern electrophysiological laboratory, interventional treatment of structural heart diseases, etc.

The Department of Pulmonology, Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine deals with the treatment of patients suffering from diseases of the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, liver, biliary tract and pancreas. A 24-hour endoscopic surgery service ensures medical care for patients with bleedings and stenosis. A separate focus is made on the cardiopulmonary functional diagnostics with the help of spiroergometry.

The Department of Neurology and Neurological Intensive Care Medicine treats patients with brain, spinal cord, nerve and muscle diseases. The most common diseases in this field are strokes, inflammatory conditions of the brain and meninges (multiple sclerosis, meningitis and encephalitis), impaired consciousness, motor disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease), dizziness, as well as inflammations of the nerve roots and peripheral nerves.

The Department of General and Abdominal Surgery treats patients with inflammatory diseases, benign or malignant tumors of abdominal cavity and abdominal wall. The Department of Orthopedics, Traumatology, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery helps patients suffering from injuries and chronic diseases, especially those of musculoskeletal system. The department specializes on spinal surgery. Along with fractures, an interdisciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons primarily treats degenerative diseases of the spine. The department treats more than 3,000 patients every year.
Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology
The Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology provides open surgical treatment for kidney, bladder, testicular and prostate tumors. Among the main focuses is the organ preservation surgery for kidney tumors. Also, the department provides surgical treatment of congenital pathologies of the urinary tract, as well as the treatment of stress incontinence with the help of special techniques. The scope of tasks of the department also covers plastic reconstructive interventions on the kidneys, ureter, gallbladder and external genitalia. About 2,500 inpatients are treated here every year.

The Department of Pediatrics covers a wide range of diseases in childhood and adolescence. The areas of specialization include neonatology, allergies, lung diseases, cardiology, neuropediatrics, diabetology and treatment of inflammations and infections. The Perinatal Center treats about 3,800 inpatients every year.
Department of Gynecology, Mammology and Obstetrics
The Department of Gynecology, Mammology and Obstetrics provides all types of diagnostics and treatment of gynecological diseases. It treats both typical female diseases and severe diseases of the genital organs and breasts in women. There are treated over 5,500 inpatients every year. The department is the certified Breast Center and the Gynecologic Oncology Center.
Department of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Medicine
The Department of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Medicine primarily treats patients with cancer or hematologic diseases. The treatment is based on the comprehensive approach, which includes both physical and psychosocial aspects. The department is part of the interdisciplinary Cancer Center Munich Süd. It treats over 1,400 inpatients every year.
