Department of General, Abdominal, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery
The Department of Surgery at the University Hospital Bonn provides patients with medical care and treatments in the full range of general, abdominal, thoracic and vascular surgery including emergency care. Another focus of the Department is transplant surgery (of liver and pancreas). A particular focus for interdisciplinary cooperation is on cancer and its metastases treatment.
Department of Human Genetics
The Department of Human Genetics offers both patients and doctors a wide range of services. Specialists of the department consult patients on the genetic conditionality of their diseases. They also conduct clinical studies and appoint all necessary further diagnostic measures. Diagnosis of genetic diseases is available for patients from the University Hospital Bonn and from other hospitals as well. The department employs the newest molecular methods.

Department of Pediatric Surgery
The Department of Pediatric Surgery at the University Hospital Bonn deals with the treatment of premature and newborn babies with congenital pathologies, tumors or specific diseases, which do not affect adults.
